Take Time

Late last night I returned from a 10-day trip to Nova Scotia. We chose to wind our way home on the back roads, which took several hours longer, but the perspective gained was one of a connection to the landscape we were traveling through and to the people who lived there. It was so satisfying!

Today I am weary and I have to remind myself to be gentle. I am in transition and itโ€™s a time to allow myself to go as slow as I need to as I unpack, make meals, check emails and reconnect with the flowers on my back deck.

I encourage you to take the time to notice the details of the last few weeks of summer.

Look up.

Get close.

Get your feet wet.

Look down.

Linger in the moments of connection.

Hi Jovanna! Thank you for the beautiful reminder to savor life, love and connection. I’m lingering in the moments before I leave green New Zealand and head home to California today. Sunlight is dancing through my window and outside I see green trees, ferns, bushes of all kinds…and birds are singing…like the Tui (I think). My daughter has spent a magnificent 2 weeks with her dad here in NZ and I’m so grateful for how welcoming they were to me as well. So, I’m lingering in love and gratitude for the connection with nature and with people that I’ve experienced these last 2 weeks. Thank you for letting me share that and thank YOU for sharing your journey with us! ๐Ÿ™‚
