What Will You Do?

Last weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada. I shared a lovely dinner with friends on Saturday night, gathered with family (including my 3 year old grandson!) for a delicious meal on Sunday and paddled on a quiet lake for a picnic lunch on Monday.

At one point while we were sitting on an island letting our puppy run free, I realized that Thanksgiving weekend was nearing an end and I hadn’t yet spoken out loud about what I was thankful for. I asked my partner Scott if he was willing to share what he was thankful for great and small. I suggested we make a game of it and take turns going back and forth one by one.

I still remember the pleasure of the warm breeze and the comfort of leaning up against the rock looking out into the distance across the lake as we shared.

There is so much to be thankful for.

Rather than live with regret, make the space for a meaningful moment.

Is there something that you want to acknowledge or something you want to celebrate? What simple thing will you do?

I’d love to hear about it. Leave me a comment!

My husband and I just finished celebrating our 20th anniversary and we went to the Agawa canyon and we both loved the smell of the earth so infused with conifers and humus. This was a very happy moment.

How lovely, Rebecca. That really touches my heart…your appreciation for the smell of the earth and your obvious love for one another.
