Summer Solstice

As the sun went down on the Summer Solstice, my partner and I were swimming in our favourite swimming hole. We had the whole place to ourselves.

The western sky was streaked with light radiating out of the setting sun creating a celestial atmosphere and a feeling of awe.

As I floated on my back I noticed the dragonflies skimming along the surface of the water and the cliff swallows swooping for bugs. They were having a feast and I was too. Feeling held by the warm water and taking in the beauty of the evening was a delicious way to experience the longest day of the year.

What do you love about summer? Let yourself linger there. Let yourself take in the nourishment of the moment.
