Last night, after an intense session at my computer working toward a self-imposed deadline, I let out a big sigh and went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
With the pace I’d been keeping all day, I had gone beyond the edge of my energy reserve and I felt exhausted.
Instinctively I stepped out onto my back deck into the crisp night air. This was the first time in months that I’d ventured out without a coat and it felt wonderful.
I took several deep breaths of the cool air and began to relax.
When I reflected on my day I recalled some remarkable moments and I felt grateful.
I looked up at the night sky and was greeted by a few bright stars and I was in awe.
